August: No Lessons
Tues., Sept. 8: Lessons will start.
Sat., Nov. 14: Ribbon Festival (9:00-2:00). Events are open and you will not be assigned time to perform.
Sat., Nov. 14: String Festival (2:00 or 2:30). For students (advancing/advanced) who want to perform a piece in public. Many use this Festival to ready pieces for later
competitions and school-related festivals. Memory is not required, but your piece
should be ready to perform.
I will send you weekly "Violin Notes" from our lesson together. Check your email or text!
Print a copy or use your device--just so your notes are accessible when you practice. They
contain your assignment as well as tips to improve your skills.
If students would like to share their email or text number, I can send directly to them.
For the old-fashioned: bring a notebook and I'll write your weekly assignment there. Just don't
forget to take your notebook home AND bring it back the next lesson.

Assignments are divided into "Scales", "Technique" and "Pieces". You should plan on a minimum of 15 minutes of practice for each category. Play every day. Your skills will develop and become reliable. More practice time yields results over time. It is said that you should be able to play very well after 6 years of study.
